Scott and I arrived to Traverse City on Monday after a long drive from Washington DC. Well, long drive for Scott, he drove the whole way! We did make a pit stop in Portage to stay the night with our friends Emily and Joe allowing us to meet for the first time Liam, their new baby boy! Having planned our whole wedding from out of the state we arrived to Traverse City with a checklist of things to do. First on the list, marriage license! My wedding dress was steamed, dropped off Monday picked up Friday (not cutting it close or anything). Michigan has great hospitality - the owner of the store took my dress in last minute as she says she can't turn a bride away. Thanks to Natalie's Bridal and Tuxedo.
We put together welcome bags for our guests, full of Michigan goodies. We included faygo pop, BetterMade Chips, and Alden Mill house spices!
Our table numbers on wine bottles. Instead of the traditional table numbers, 1,2,3.. we used each year Scott and I have known eachother. 2005 thru 2013. Our parents each sat at a table which was their wedding year!

- A huge thanks goes out to Scott's Aunt and Uncle who hosted a wonderful evening and meal at their house. It was a beautiful evening for a dinner outside enjoying views of the city. We grilled salmon and chicken and had an array of salads! Everyone mingled as friends and family from California, Michigan, and Iowa met each other.
